Harris Jones

Harris Jones is the International CEO of Cable & Wireless operating from London, UK.  CW is the 2nd largest fixed line telecom operator in the UK, and operates the incumbent telephone company in 33 countries around the world.  Previously, he was CEO of T-Mobile in the UK where he led the turnaround of that business from $2.5 billion in revenue to nearly $6 billion in 3 years.  In the late 1990’s, he was part of the senior management team of Omnipoint Communications, a pioneering GSM based wireless operator operating primarily in the Northeast USA.  Prior to that, he was part of the original management team of APC, a wireless start-up that became the bellwether for Sprint PCS.  He also has two other start-up experiences in paper-recycling and wine importing.  He has a BA degree from Tulane University in Public Policy, and an MBA from the Darden School of the University of Virginia.  He is married, has 4 children and enjoys virtually all sports, whenever time allows.

Jerry Connelly

Jerry Connelly is a private investor with a particular interest in early stage technology companies. He is President and CEO of Medsage Technologies, which offers voice-response technology that helps health care providers care for chronically ill patients living at home. Previously, Mr. Connelly was Executive Vice President of Morneau Sobeco, a benefits outsourcing and consulting firm which recently completed a successful initial public offering. During his tenure, the firm’s revenue increased more than ten-fold, to over $70 million. Mr. Connelly began his career with international management consultancy Bain & Company, where he worked in their San Francisco and Toronto offices. In 1985, he earned an Industrial Engineering degree from Stanford University, where he was a member of both Tau Beta Pi and Phi Beta Kappa. In 1990, he won the Ford Prize honoring the valedictorian of the European Institute of Business Administration (INSEAD), a leading international MBA program. Mr. Connelly lives in Pittsburgh with his wife, three children, and countless pets. His passions include writing – his first novel was published in 2004 – and hiking in Switzerland, where he leads alpine tours each summer.

Dr. Olle Kordina

Dr. Olle Kordina, Caracal's Vice President, is one of the world’s leading silicon carbide materials scientists. With over 100 publications and 20 patents, Dr. Kordina has pioneered many of the silicon carbide growth techniques used in the industry today.  He is the main inventor of the High Temperature CVD (HTCVD), the Phase Controlled Sublimation (PCS), the hot-wall CVD techniques, as well as the new technique currently employed at Caracal.  After completing his PhD from Linkoping University in Sweden in 1994, he worked at many leading silicon carbide materials companies, including senior roles at Cree and Sterling Semiconductor.
